My dumb ass on the Triumph from yesterday’s ride with the boys on Mulholland highway.

I have to be up for a morning group ride in 3 hours time and I still haven’t slept, I just can’t stop thinking about Rossi’s crash and injury at Mugello. I really shouldn’t have watched the video of the crash, seeing it really shook me up.

I’ve never really been this upset about an athlete’s/rider’s injury, but Rossi isn’t any rider, for me he’s always occupied the childish and rather naive part of my brain that truly believes he’s invincible. Watching that high-side, really fried my circuit, it reminded me just how dangerous our love for two wheels can be, even for a racing god.

Get well soon Doc, I still believe you are invincible.
