-This is one of those videos where I’m completely conflicted about.
The finishing/compression guy in me hates the whole pixelation, artifacting, RGB offset, “it’s hip to look like shit” mess.
The effects guy in me sees and appreciate the technical aspect of actually pulling off a way to create controlled compression artifacting, and the creative way it was used.
The live visual, mograph, design nerd in me loves the shit out of it.
To top it off, I fucking hate that autotuning, prima donna, pain in the ass, Kanye West for everything he stands for. But I kinda like 808 and heartbreak.
